Dr.James E. Kay is a 1969 graduate of the University Of Georgia schoolof Veterinary Medicine. He has been in Douglas County since1971 after graduating from Veterinary school. Served two years inthe Air Force and one year in Vietnam. He is former Vice President ofChamber of Commerce, former President of the Kiwanis Club and pastPresident of American Heart Association. He is married and hasthreechildren. Dr. Michael Kay, his son, just joined our practice inJune of 2007. Dr. James Kay was recently appointed by GovernorSunny Perdue to be on the Consumer Advisory Board. When he isn'tworking, he loves spending time with his family, golfing and watchingall sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs!
Dr. Cyd Greer, a Georgia native,completed her undergraduate studies as a pre-vet major at TheUniversity of Georgia. She earned her DVM from The University ofGeorgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. Dr. Greer worked atseveral small animal hospitals following graduation until she foundKay Animal Hospital in 1987. She takes pride in the high quality ofmedicine and surgery practiced at Kay Animal Hospital and istypically referred to as our Cat Doctor. Her special interestsinclude internal medicine and feline medicine. Dr. Greers favoritepastime is spending time with her husband, Barry and son Tyler. Shealso enjoys cooking and reading.
A native of Douglasville, Georgia, Dr. Michael Kay recentlyjoined his fathers practice in June 2007. He attended theUniversity of Georgia where he earned a Bachelors degree inAgriculture and majored in Animal Science and Dairy Science. Hewent on to attend St. George University College of Veterinarymedicine and received his doctorate after completing his 4thyear of clinical studies at the University of Georgia. Hisprofessional interests include orthopedic surgery, cardiology,and ultrasonography. In his spare time, Dr. Kay enjoys golfing,traveling, fishing, hunting, and discovering fine foods withfriends and family.
